With reference to Mr Bertram Cox's letter of
the 4th ultimo. 22500/1910, relative to the Crown Rent
on Spring Gardens, Hong Kong, I am commanded by the
Arry Council to acquaint you, for the information of the
Earl of Crewe, that they are unable to agree that their
position has been shown to be untenable, and that they
have therefore submitted the question for the
consideration of the Treasury.
